Lemon Martini Recipe

Martini is such a versatile cocktail it has inspired a number of variations around the world, amongst which are a variety of fruit flavored martini variations. One of the most popular fruit flavored martini variation is the lemon martini, which itself has inspired a number of variations by itself. Here are some of the more popular lemon martini variations:

Lemon Martini Recipe 1


Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Superfine sugar for dipping
  • Twisted peel of lemon
Method:
Pour some superfine sugar on a shallow dish. Rub a wedge of lemon lightly along the rim of the martini glass. Dip the rim of the martini glass into the superfine sugar to coat the rim with it. Chill the martini glass by placing it in the freezer for at least half an hour. Pour all the liquid ingredients into a Martini Shaker half filled with cubes of ice. Add sugar and shake vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved in the mix. Strain the mix and pour it into the well chilled martini glass. Garnish with a twisted peel of lemon and serve.

Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Lemon wedge
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 6 tablespoons chilled lemon-flavored vodka
  • 2 tablespoons chilled lemon-flavored liqueur
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 thin strips (3 in. long) lemon peel
Method:
Pour some superfine sugar on a shallow dish. Rub a wedge of lemon lightly along the rim of the martini glass. Dip the rim of the martini glass into the superfine sugar to coat the rim with it. Chill the martini glass by placing it in the freezer for at least half an hour. Pour all the liquid ingredients into a Martini Shaker half filled with crushed ice. Shake vigorously until the mix is cold. Strain the mix and pour it into the well chilled martini glass. Garnish with a twisted peel of lemon and serve.
