Dirty Dry Martini
Dirty dry martini recipes are made using gin, vermouth and olive brine as the base ingredients. The cloudy effect given off by the olive brine gives this martini its name. There are many combinations that one can concoct using these ingredients. The first is a classic dirty dry martini which is made by using the following ingredients:- Two ounces of gin
- A tbsp of dry vermouth
- Two tbsp of olive brine
- Stuffed cocktail olives
The method of preparation is as follows:- Take a cocktail glass and place a few small pieces of ice in it alongwith little water and place it in the freezer.
- Chill the glass for about 5 minutes until the drink is ready to be poured into the glass.
- Take a martini mixer and pour all the ingredients into it and shake vigorously after closing the cap of the shaker.
- Once this is done you can remove the glass from the refrigerator and pour the contents of the shaker after straining it into the glass.
- Place the olives on a toothpick and dip one end of the toothpick into the drink. Serve with a smile.
Another dirty dry martini recipe calls for these two select ingredients that are found in almost all types of dry martinis. These ingredients are as follows:- Two and a half ounces of gin
- One ounce of olive brine
The method of preparation is as follows:- Take a martini shaker and fill it with ice and pour in the gin and the olive juice or brine.
- You can either shake or stir the drink depending on how you or your guest wants to have the drink.
- Strain the mix into a martini glass and garnish with a couple of olives before serving.
There are not very many combinations that one can think of when mixing a dirty dry martini recipe. This is because it is difficult to keep the classic style of the martini when you add a plethora of different ingredients.
