Chocolate Martini Recipe

While giving the name Martini to this drink might be contested by connoisseurs because none of the original ingredients of the cocktail exist in it, the Chocolate Martini has gained a popularity that is hard to ignore, and no wonder, it's a delicious cocktail that blends the quality of fine spirits with the deliciousness and savor of chocolate.

There are many different opinions as to how to obtain the perfect chocolate martini, so in the end, the main thing to do in order to get one you will absolutely adore is to experiment a bit with different ingredients.

The main ingredients you need for a chocolate martini are Vodka and chocolate liqueur or creme de cacao, mixed according to the main martini rule of 4 to 1. Four parts of Vodka would go with one part of creme de cacao. Other recipes claim that the two can be mixed in equal quantities and some have gone so far as to say the creme de cacao should be two parts of the drink, while the Vodka should be one part. The vodka and creme the cacao or chocolate liqueur should be mixed with some ice, then strained, poured into a martini glass and served.

Some have also indicated that they like using a dash of milk to round the taste of the cocktail, while others claim that the mixing of vodka with a little chocolate ice cream can turn into the very best chocolate martini.

You can also try experimenting by mixing the vodka with dark chocolate liqueur, white creme de cacao or a little cognac, and your cocktail can gain a whole new dimension if you use vanilla vodka for the mix. For an extra touch, you can try rimming your glass with cocoa powder or even chocolate syrup, and if you truly want to be decadent, adding a piece of dark chocolate on the bottom of the glass will achieve just that.
