Black Martini
An elixir of elegance and the perfect sonnet are the few titles by which the humble martini is known by. At the beginning a martini generally consisted of a glass of gin and vermouth combined in the ratio of 1:1. However as the years passed new mixing techniques came about and it was this era that brought about the true meaning of the martini in our day to day life. There are numerous occasions for which this drink has paid a major role. Right from weddings to funerals there is a combination of liqueurs that sets itself as the potent mix of the day.
Here is a list of some of the black martini recipes that I have come across.
The first one goes by the name of the black tan martini and calls for the use of the below mentioned ingredients:- One part of bass ale
- One part of Guinness
Take a stein glass and pour in the bass pale ale. Now using a spoon held over the mouth of the glass pour in the Guinness slowly into the glass. If done in the correct manner there will be tow different layers of drinks in the glass thus living up to the name of the drink.
The black martini recipe is another common drink mix concocted using the following ingredients:- Two thirds part of gin
- One third part of black sambuca
Take the above mentioned ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with shaven ice. Shake them gently and then using a martini strainer strain the black martini into a cocktail glass.
The next black martini recipe provide one with a gentle and soothing touch which can help one unwind after a hard days work.
The ingredients include:- 4 and a half parts of Absolut vodka
- 2 parts of chambordi raspberry liqueur
- 1 part of blue Curacao liqueur
- Ice cubs
Take all of the above ingredients in the ratios mentioned and combine them in a martini shaker. Close the lid of the shaker and mix vigorously. Now add shaven ice or whole ice cubes and toss the drink again for a minute or so. Strain the black martini mixture into a cocktail glass and garnish with a wedge of lime or a twist of lime.
